High highs, Moderate lows.

It’s the mark of a good day: high highs and moderate lows.

Today was elevated by joy and pride in the leaders I get to work alongside—the things they say, the way they show up, the care they bring into hard spaces. There are moments when I feel warmth radiating from my heart, like a golden light washing over me, beaming. Gratitude does that. Purpose does that. People do that.

The lows were there too—but they were moderate. Manageable. The kind that remind you you’re alive, paying attention, engaged in something that matters.

Challenges are necessary. They’re the sharpening stone.

To quote a Dirty Heads song (look them up…they are my favorite): “Smooth seas never made a great captain.” And it’s true. I don’t just tolerate challenges—I love them. They wake something up in me. They make me ask better questions.

How creative can I get with solutions?
How far outside the box can I go?
What’s possible that I haven’t considered yet?

High highs fill the heart. Moderate lows build the leader.

And days like this?
They’re the kind you go to bed grateful for.
